Johnson County Wastewater Sewer Project Status

WELCOME This site was developed to provide you with information on the status of your sewer project with Johnson County. There are two separate permitting processes. One is for the main line extension and the second is commercial review for connection permitting, which is required for obtaining a building permit. Fee estimates for commercial plan review will not be provided before the plans are submitted for review. Permit, Connection and System Development Fees can only be established after the building plan review. One complete set of plans is required to complete the review. The average review time for a main extension project 1st submittal is 2 weeks from the date the complete submittal is received by JCW. The average review time for main extension project resubmittals is 1 week. The average review time for all commercial building connection permit submittals is 1.5 weeks from the date a complete submittal is received by JCW. Please note that sewer connection permits are required before the cities can issue building permits.
